TOPIC; BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL
TEXT; MATTHEW 5:6
CONSIDERING THE MESSAGE IN THREE (3) POINTS.
1. Obtaining Mercy from God. Lamentations 3:1-19
and in (Lam 3:22) Jeremiah remembered that even though he has been afflicted but by the mercies of God he has not been consumed because God showed him mercy. Even though we go through life being confronted with troubles, pains, challenges and afflictions it takes only the mercies of God not to be consumed. Do not forget at anytime but always rejoice and be thankful unto God for his mercies in every situation, learn to recall and recount his blessings in your life with a grateful heart.
if not for his mercies we would have been all consumed but we all have been have kept and preserved by the tender mercies obtained from the Lord
Romans 9:16.
So then it is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth,
but of the God that sheweth mercy. (KJV)
2. Who Is a Merciful Person?
- Someone loves God genuinely
- Someone who do not judge or condemn people
- Someone who is concerned about the impending judgement over sinners
- Someone who is concerned and cares about the sick
- Someone who is compassionate
3. Mingling Mercy and Justice.
But take note that; That you are merciful does not mean justice will be a averted
4..Blessed Are the Merciful.
They are blessed because;
- God will show them mercy. Matthew 18:25
- God will cause people to show them mercy
- They will obtain mercy on the day of judgement. 2Timothy 1:15-16.
May our gracious father show you mercy and grant his favor upon your labors,
and cause his goodness
to follow you as go with him
in the faith of our lord Jesus Christ.
